Murphy

In two more weeks we are heading to Maine to pick up Murphy!
Back in April, my Service Dog, Lilia, passed away.  To say I am totally loss, is an understatement.  Slowly things have settled down.  Murphy will be my new Service Dog as soon as I have him fully trained.  Murphy is a miniature long-haired Dachshund.  He was born in May of this year.  Can't wait for this little guy to wind us around his little paws!  Over the years we have had many dogs.

We are looking forward to having this little guy run our lives.
I will try to keep things posted.
Have a wonderful week!

Happy Mail

How many people enjoy getting happy mail in your mail box?  I know I would rather see a hand made card from someone I know than a bill or junk mail from those I don't know.
Today I spent the afternoon playing with a new stamp from - SweatPea Designs.
I used Black Memento Ink to stamp the image on a 3" x 3.5" piece of Smooth Bristol paper.  I used my Prismacolor pencils to color the image in.  Mounted that on a 3.25" x 3.75" piece of black card stock.  I found a piece of blue striped Graphic 45 collection of Botanical Tea (2014).  Makes the perfect background to my Penguin.  I can not get enough of  Graphic 45 paper.  The inside I also did a set of layers.  I stamped the mailbox from the same stamp set, on 3" x 4".  Added more grass with different green Prismacolors.  That piece I layered it on another piece of striped paper, 3.5 x 4". That was layered on a black piece of card stock 3.75" x 4.25".
I have to say I am so pleased on how it came out.

So what do you all think?
I would like to hear from you on what you would like to see in your mailbox?
Have a wonderful afternoon!

Hello from steamy North Carolina!

Long time without posting.  For whatever reason my computer would not let me add anything.  Have no idea what I did, but got it working after all this time!  So will see how long this lasts...  Hopefully no more problems!

Today has been one of those hot steamy days!  Just want to stay inside where the AC is running at 74 degrees!  Husband wants it at 75 I would prefer 72 so we settle for the middle! I run my fan, at least the air is moving!  Trying to work on cards, have some ideas floating around.... will post what I come up with tomorrow!

Have a wonderful evening,
Lynn
